Across the Mexican Rockies

Mexico’s only passenger train, Chepe (which stands for Chihuahua-Pacifico Railway), links Chihuahua City in the Mexican state of Chihuahua, with Los Mochis in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. The train is an engineering wonder that runs 673 km, traversing the Copper Canyon, a dramatic complex of canyons and gorges on the Sierra Madre Occidental. This journey is considered the most scenic railroad trip on the Americas.
